Do you think that Bremelanotide (or PT-141) will ever be released to the public?

jc asked:

For those of you don’t know, Bremelanotide is generic term for a new medication for use in treating sexual dysfunction in men (erectile dysfunction or impotence) as well as sexual dysfunction in women (sexual arousal disorder). It is the only known synthetic aphrodisiac. It is undergoing phase 3 trials and has proven to be very effective.

Many are concerned that this drug could be misused as a “date rape” drug or to coerce unknowing individuals to have sex. Do you think the campaign against it will be successful?
From what I’ve read it does not impair the mental processes of perception, memory, judgment, and reasoning, so no, it does not affect cognitive ability.

If it impairs cognitive ability, then yes.
