Is it possible to pee so much in one time go, that you can over flow?

JJ asked:

the toilet when it is at a normal water level to begin with?

Is it possible?

I’m getting a kick out of the fact that yahoo automatically put this in MENS health even though Woman’s has a health section too!!

I think men have larger bladders. Maybe that’s why.

no, once the toilett bowl fills with certain amount of liquids it will flush, try pouring a gallon of water in toilette bowl, you will see it empty itself. lol Hope this helps.

No it is not possible. The water level will always be about the same.

No, the human bladder can hold a little under 20 oz of urine. Think less that a coke bottle out of a vending machine.

How can you overflow a toilet, when the liquids are continuously draining from it!!!! Put a buckets of water and you will not over flow it.
If you mean to stuck it up first. Then the answer is no. because human bladder can collect up to 1,5-2 liters urine at most.

If you’re an elephant probably, but humans..impossible because toilets are designed to allow for the extra flow of liquid. What do you think happens when you flush? Do you think you could possibly pee over two gallons in a few seconds? I seriously doubt that.
The people who say we only hold a liter or slightly over it…consider this: I was drunk once on a beach in CA and had to pee in a quart bottle. I had to get a second bottle and filled one and a half quarts on one go, but you’ll never overflow a toilet unless it’s already clogged up. i used to have enormous bladder capacity, but no more since i quit drinking alcohol.

Sorry JJ, I tried once, performed a drinking experiment. I was inspired by the Revenge of the Nerds of Oger. Of course, I should have just poured water by bucket down the throne instead of wasting another night evaporating brain cells. LOL! EDIT: What is Skippy up to? Did he take you on a night out on the town?

No. a toilet works on a syphon principle, so it can’t overflow unless blocked.

This should really be in the plumbing section….

Unless there is something blocking the water from escaping from the bottom of the bowl, the toilet will not over flow. You can test this by dumping a bucket of water into the toilet bowl, it will actually trigger a flush. When the water reaches a certain height in the bowl, the water pressure overcomes the trap inside of the toilet and allows the water to escape.

No, not unless the pipe under the toilet is plugged up. Inside the toilet is a curve in the pipe so once the water/fluids reach the top of the curve it overflows into the pipe below. A toilet is designed so that it has a water level that cuts off the entry of sewer gases from the pipes below into the air of the bathroom. The water is a “gas lock”. It’s difficult to describe. If you ever see a broken toilet in a trash dump then you can easily see what is difficult to verbally describe.

Good question! The answer is no for two reasons. One, your bladder would have to be about twice the size of the tank on the back of the toilet. (I think it holds about 2.5 gallons.)

You could try to overcome the volume issue by having a group pee, but that leads to the second problem. When the toilet reaches a certain level in the bowl, it starts to drain. Unless it is clogged, the bowl maintains a certain level. Try as you might, it will drain as fast as you (and your friends) can pee!
