Medical Problems?
Adam H asked:
Hey guys, I was just wondering if anyone could help with my medical problem. I first started having problems when I was 14 or 15 years old. The problem is with my prostate. It keeps swelling up and making it almost impossible to pee. I am 17 now and I have gone to numerous docters and none of them acted like it was a big deal and all they did was prescibe some medicine witch is not helping. They won’t even try to find out what is causing it. I don’t know what to do because I don’t want to loose my prostate at a young age so. If anyone has any suggestions then please try to help.

Find 1 doctor and stick to him/her. Doctor shopping is a bad way to treat a problem. Let the doctor run through a treatment and then try something else if that isn’t’ working. If you continue to go to new doctors, they’re all going to start at the beginning.

I would say go to another doctor and pray. Make sure you have great insurance. It is a big deal. Go to a doctor and demand them to treat you and see what it is

You need to consult a urologist. Ask your doctor to refer you.

Check out the information at chronicprostatitis.com.
It may not be your prostate, it may be the pelvic floor nerves and muscles. At your age, that makes a whole lot more sense. It is often confused with prostate problems, unfortunately.
Look up trigger points. If you have a library, check out The Trigger Point Workbook by Claire Davies and Headache in the Pelvis by Anderson and Wise.
