Question by : Question”s” about the hair x]?
HI EVERYBODY!
Im here to ask some questions about your hair, no wait, MENS HAIR. (:O)
As you can see I actually care about my hair ALOT, and no i am no narcissist, not to mention that i am only 14 years old. :D
And some people will be surprised to know that I am a boy, and cares about my hair(i-dnt-care-wat-u-think-bout-me).
1. So the first question i would like to ask you guys is that does air drying your hair cause headaches later on in your life? I have been doing this to prevent using hair dryers after i shower, but my mum is always complaining about doing this, and told me that it will cause headaches later on.
2. Then next question i would like to ask you is about conditioner. Does conditioner just make your hair shine? Or does it also strengthen your hair, to prevent it from falling? I…ike…started using conditioner for the first time in my life, and i am a total idiot when i use it. I use a big blob, and i cant make it spread out to the rest of my hair. Anyone got some advice? Greatly appreciated!
3. Next is about heat apppliianncces? I sometimes use hair straighteners for my fringe when i go to school, because normally it goes all wavy because i keep flicking it to get it out of my eye. I cant help using it, and my sister said:”its bcoz u washing ur hair everyday, thats why its wavy!” Is she correct about this?
4. Okay, now last question. I think its weird of me, because at the age of 14, i am actually worried about losing hair later on. Having a brother in my family, he began to use hair products like gatsby to “spike” his hair up…and i was dragged into it as well, at the age of…11? However, everytime i use these products, i use it a a really small quantity, and i never let it touch my scalp or the place where your hair begins in different directions(spiral, watever). I have stopped using hair products ever since my dad told me that it will make you lose hair in the future. I dont even know if thats true of what he said, can you confirm this? Also, are you able to tell when i will begin to see myself losing hair? Ive used hair products for like, 2 years, and i DO NOT plan on using it anymore, for the sake of the health of my hair.

I dont want to grow bald at an early age. Its gonna looke really ugly with a hairstyle like these:

1. air drying your hair cause headaches later on in your life? NO Your mom NEED to be educated! Tell her to go back to school. ;)

2. Does conditioner just make your hair shine? Or does it also strengthen your hair, to prevent it from falling? Many people don’t NEED conditioner, I don’t. DH never used them, he’s 60 with wavy hair.
Use them, if your hair is damaged, chemically treated or to cut down on frizzy hair. You get the strength from the foods you eat daily. The better the foods you eat, the less you wash your hair, the healthier, shinier, silkier, smoother, softer your hair gets, but washing it less produces the oil your hair needs. Hair products like oil is not a good substitute if it absorbs them like sponge.

3. bout heat apppliianncces? Straightener causes split ends, hair loss, and hair to not grow normally. I’ll post what other YA members said about hair loss, but if you want I’ll email them to you. Heat protectant does NOT protect hair 100%. Like sunscreen, you still get sunburned. Same with hair.
Blow dryer is good, if it’s not over 5 mins. for your hair use on low heat, but it is drying to the hair.
Your sister, needs to go back to school, too. Your hair is wavy because of your good genes & hormone’s changing. My YS’s hair got wavy when he turned 16, his hair was straight all his childhood.

4. Google the FDA website, search for Hair Dye & Relaxers. Supplements can also do that to hair. There are other ways for hair loss, again, that will be another email.

5. Have the cookie, you get the bonus for asking us, but there are many trolls here, and kids who haven’t been around answering, so they can’t really see the ‘future’ where their hair is going, and YW for asking!

Google: MSN “Vitamins Can Do More Harm Than Good.”
According Dr. Melissa Piliang, a dermatologist at the Cleveland Clinic. Americans spent an estimated $ 176 million on hair loss products last year, and chances are some of that money was not well spent. Don’t let charming salon owners, seductive ads or fancy gimmicks convince you otherwise.

CNN, Slate, Consumer Reports, MSN, YAHOO have posted them online for years how people spend $ 20 billion per year on vitamins and supplements.  According to Everyday Health, here’s an article that will tell you why . . . those PRODUCTS by any other name do NOT WORK.  It is false advertisements.

Best advice from Hollywood’s well known hairstylist in the 80′s once said: “Keep foods in your mouth and hair products on your hair.”

If you’ve straightened your hair in the past, it may grow slowly or none at all.
Google: “Foods for Healthy Hair” – the website had moved, type it in.

Growing healthy hair doesn’t come from a bottle or pills and hair products do not speed hair growth. Any hair oil, is another form to keep hair moisturized, nothing more. If you’re in HS, your hair & nails should be growing normally, and as healthily as possible, since you’re eating healthy foods. But when hair isn’t growing as fast, it’s because they’ve been tempered with: chemicals, hair straightening, etc. . .

Best answer comes from people with Avatars, showing their healthy shiny, soft, silky, smooth hair.

Sources:
I know hair. I have over 4 decades of hair know-how. I have silky, shiny, soft, smooth very healthy hair down to my knees, started growing them in 2003. Previously damaged by perming & dyeing in the 80′s & 90′s. I’ve known people in their 30′s whose hair stopped growing from ironing their hair in the 70′s.

I prefer Sex Panther by Odeon. It’s illegal in nine countries, and made with bits of real panther, so you know it has to be good.

Is taking 560 mg of Vitamin C too much ?

March 14th, 2012

Question by p_b_1_2_3: Is taking 560 mg of Vitamin C too much ?
I have acne & I heard that vitamin C is good for the skin, so I decided too pick up a jar of Nature Made Vitamin C 500 mg. While I was there I thought maybe I should start taking a multi vitamin so i picked up a jar of One A Day Mens Health Formula & it contains 60 mg of Vitamin C. Would taking both of these be too much ? I am 17 years old, && i weigh about 155 pounds (if that makes any difference).

Not at all. vitamin c is a water soluble vitamin which means you pee the excess out. Now if you start taking iron or vitamin E then don’t do that because they are fat soluble vitamins which will damage your liver because they are stored in your fat.
